Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete GIS assigned tasks through the use of Tactician, MS SQL Server, and GIS software packages 
  • Utilize Google Earth, Map Quest, and XML mapping documents
  • Research and analyze address quality issues 
  • Perform project grouping functions
  • Create Mapinfo and MS SQL Server queries
  • Maintain Initial, Secondary and customized delivery boundary scopes through creation/modification of geographic boundary files
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy of boundaries and groupings
  • Test output of internally developed GIS applications
  • Operation of Plotter and other various printers
  • Analysis of GIS data output, including map presentation, area, usability
  • Keep accurate and updated files for each project
  • Communicate and interact directly with clients
  • Accomplish all required research to resolve open issues and questions
  • Ensure work schedule is on time and keeps supervisor updated
  • Attend meetings and conference calls as necessary
  • Identify process optimizations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


 

ROUTINE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with developers to maintain high quality programs
  • Accomplish projects within budget and deadlines
  • Maintain network storage areas to contain only necessary, current, and accurate project files
  • Perform processes accurately and within deadlines and budget
  • Maintain project tracking documents
  • Provide customer service for internal & external clients
  • Accurately track and record time spent on projects
  • Participate as part of the CIS Team in support of department needs
