As we grow, we are seeking an experienced Java Developer onsite at TDKC in Dayton, OH.

The Java Developer will join a team of dedicated and experienced programmers and engineers on an advanced research project to provide next-generation asset monitoring, situational awareness, data integration and analysis supporting infrastructure and facility management and vulnerability assessment requirements. The system will derive data directly from industrial control systems sensors to provide an advanced situational awareness capability. The mission is to provide new capabilities across a wide range of mission requirements and Civil Engineering functions.

•Collaborate with the Program Managers/Program Directors, cross-functional client team members and internal Woolpert departments
•Code data analytics in accordance with client requirement
•Support Center-level development and data integration
•Manage remote interface development and update pieces to fit with new UDRI’s ICEE Connect update for SoftJACE replacement
•Develop user interface as part of UDRI’s ICEE Connect update for SoftJACE replacement
•Work closely with onsite Technical Writer who will create software user’s manuals, configuration manuals, software test plans, and administrative manuals

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
•3+ years demonstrable proficiency in Java within software applications/architecture/engineering and/or geospatial industry required
•3+ years demonstrable proficiency in two or more of the following languages: C# (or VB.NET), Python, JavaScript, Excel VBA, C, C++ preferred
•Experience with Eclipse, Eclipse RCP, Vagrant, Linux, VirtualBox, GIT, Stash, Maven, Khafka, and Cassandra preferred
•Previous Military, Federal and Statewide Government experience is a plus
•Ability to quickly learn new technologies and independently do quality work, participate in design reviews, work in a distributed environment
•Strong technical proficiency required, including Microsoft Office products and Visio
•Understand customer workflows and author documentation on advanced topics
•Able to graphically present information clearly and concisely
•Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
•Ability to provide excellent customer service
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment
•Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
•Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
