Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a junior Geospatial Technician to work form our Atlanta, GA location. The chosen candidates will have the chance to work for one of the top geospatial surveying and mapping companies in the U.S. while using the latest Geospatial/GIS technologies. Key duties for this position will entail collecting, editing, and processing GIS and mapping data from various sources to produce deliverables that meet internal and external customer requirements. Production tasks will vary according to each task order but may include GIS data content management, GIS data compilation, and updating existing GIS data sets. Other duties involve data attribution, data analysis, and database setup in Microsoft Access.
Qualified candidates will have an associate’s degree or 2 years of related experience. Candidates must have a Solid working knowledge of ArcGIS and Microsoft Access. Previous GIS and Cartographic experience is highly desired. Candidates must have a working knowledge of ESRI GeoDatabase and Shapefile, have computer competency in Windows environment, strong communication skills, and be able to work in a team environment.
