Must have a BA/BS in Geosciences, Engineering, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field with emphasis in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing and four (4) years related experience, MA/MS and two (2) years related experience or six (6) years related experience.
Additonal requirements:
-Must have prior GIS experience preferably with ESRI applications and Geospatial open source software.
-Must possess working understanding of GIS concepts related to spatial analysis and modeling.
-Must possess working understanding of Remote Sensing concepts.
-Must possess the ability to analyze problems and propose technical, operational, or strategic solutions.
-Must possess the ability to effectively interact with various departments to maintain open lines of communication.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Remote Sensing Team Leader / Phase Manager to support the performance of remote sensing projects. You will independently manage small-scale projects and reports status back to the your supervisor, while working on several assignments simultaneously. You will perform lead-level professional functions in GIS programming, data construction, database management, technical consulting and analysis. You will perform complex data manipulation, data model development and automated data construction. You will work independently and in conjunction with other team members as necessary to find potential solutions to remote sensing problems. As a technician you will provide remote sensing services, image processing and management, interpretation and processing of imagery. Other duties will include supporting and contributing to the analysis of spatial data using GIS and related software. You will also develop documentation for processes and data produced
